If you are just starting your journey into audiobook narration, it can be a little overwhelming. It’s easy to get confused. We all know that a small investment is needed for every new venture, and there are a million accessories you can buy. But what are the bare minimum?
Here are a list of 4 tools that are essential to building your audiobook narration career!

1. PC or Laptop
It doesn’t have to be expensive. No need for fancy bells and whistles! Only needs to work.
Laptop under $200
PC under $300
All in one under $400
2. Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone
Make sure you pay attention to whether the mic is compatible with your mac or pc BEFORE you buy. Is it USB? Or are you looking for something that plugs into a MIDI box?
under $50
under $100
under $200
3. Pop Filter (if your mic doesn't come with one)
Make sure the pop filter you buy is compatible with your mic. Some pop filters are universal, while others are made for specific models of microphones
4. A Tracking system
You want to keep track of all your projects in one place and keep notes on what voices and tones, etc. I’ve created an audiobook narration tracker just for this purpose.
