I grew up in foster care and had the chance to witness some of the most heartbreaking examples of poverty I’ve ever seen in America. People holding car-washes, trying to raise money to bury a small child, siblings sharing one package of Top Ramen noodles because there was nothing else to eat. I’ve been hungry, homeless, discredited and ignored.
But through all that time, I was observant. I saw how people asked what you did for a living, in order to gauge how to treat you. How poverty immediately made you a target for financial scams. How the price of goods in poorer neighborhoods was mysteriously more expensive than in the places where people could afford to pay.
I watched how, as inflation grew, the costs of goods, utilities, gas, and services grew. What didn’t grow, were the wages of hard working citizens. The truth is, unless your income grows faster than inflation and you have enough of it to invest in a better future, you can never escape this trap.
That’s why I do what I do. So that we can explore the step by step blueprints to achieving generational wealth.
